With reference to your communication
No.L.3100/3100/405 of the 10th of June, 1932, and
subsequent correspondence, regarding the enquiry of
the Danish Minister concerning the issue of new
regulations to replace Tables A and D of the Hong
Kong Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, I am directed
by Secretary Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister to transmit
to you, for the information of the Secretary of State
for Foreign Affairs, the accompanying copy of a
Fr.Gov.H.K.23.1.33. despatch which has been received from the Governor of
Hong Kong on the subject.
2. Various difficult questions regarding the
application of the Convention for the Safety of Life
at Sea, 1929, the International Load Line Convention,
and the Simla Rules, are at present under
